The title of my book I still haven’t decided on. I’ve narrowed it down to ‘My Buddy Confidence’ or ‘That voice in my head’. It tells the story of a boy’s life from a baby all the way to college life and each year trying to get the confidence he needs to do things in life such as walking, making friends, riding a bike, things people need a little confidence to do the first time around. A little voice in his head tells him each time that he can do it giving him the confidence to do things, but each time the voice goes quieter and quieter till his buddy confidence is pretty much nonexistent.
In this remade version of “Ship in Distress” I’ve added a few more things to have the ships distress over/ I turned some of the clouds darker and used some of the other clouds as smoke for the fire on the mast. I also added the silhouette of a shark in the water and drawn an incoming meteor and nuclear missile.
This is the original painting titled ‘Ship in Distress’ that I decided to use for my Project 3 assignment.
Growing up for me the Magic School Bus series was one of the greatest books I ever read as a child. Every single page seemed to draw me in with all of the additional text bubbles that they would give the characters were so much easier for me to read than that huge clump of text at the top. It was what helped me learn how to read in the first place. And the idea of a magical bus that could shrink and change form just made me so hopeful for so many things, and don’t get me started on how I got hooked on the animated series.
I think I could make everything look like the ship was riding in a sea of lava, with everything on fire. You know make it look like they’re riding the river styx and it goes though hell.
One idea I have is to give this ship ALOT more distress, I could paint in a few things such as a missile, thunder cloud, sharks, maybe a meteor and put the ship on fire I could add a few more other things as well.
For one idea I had I was planning on making it look like the ship was falling from the sky. The splashes from the waves are close enough to me to be made into clouds.
